Off Duty Fireman Construction Inc. provides project management expertise for the entire project, handling all of the details. We did not have to engage to find specialty trades — they did it all. Our project (demo and building a large, two-story deck) was particularly challenging given the steep grade of our property. Several contractors we spoke to would not touch it! In addition, we appreciated their ability to provide multiple solutions to solve unforeseen issues along the way, respecting that we had to stay within budget.

My husband and I have worked with Off Duty Fireman Construction Inc. over the past two years on two separate projects. This last project involved the entire exterior of the house, repairing the sheathing that was rotten and replacing the roof, siding, and decks. Marvin and his crew provide a quality product. He may be more expensive than other contractors, but you get what you pay for. We spent plenty of time up front talking through the scope of the project. He made many suggestions, met with us at the building supply store to show us various options, and discussed pros and cons of each. He handled all the details, communicated between the customer and anyone working on the project, and addressed all issues promptly. He made sure we knew the weekly schedule and shared those details in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the outcome. We love our ‘new’ home and are very thankful we chose a reputable team to help!

Incredible attention and knowledge. Built our addition from the dirt up. Looks like it has always been here. Installed doors, bath, laundry, dormer, flooring, decks, trim and paint. Remodeled our kitchen. Gutted and rebuilt. Engineered floor joists system in our old farm house. Installed cabinets, a custom wood hood and farm sink. Wrapped crown with slopes and angles, Incredible! flooring, paint and trim. 9’×3′ box window that attached to existing roof. Several wood clad windows and trim. Nothing in this old house was straight, square or level. Buddy and his crew were more than amazing. Seems there’s nothing they can’t do. Highly recommended by a very pleased customer. Mills River NC
